Selbyville Volunteer Fire Company
Knox Box Program
Secure emergency access to your property — before we ever need it.
What is a Knox Box?
A Knox Box is a small, high-security key vault mounted on the outside of your home or business. Your keys are locked inside, and only the Selbyville Volunteer Fire Company's master key can open it — the same rapid-entry system trusted by thousands of fire departments nationwide.
When an alarm sounds at 2 a.m., or a resident can't come to the door, we can be inside in seconds — no waiting for a keyholder to drive in, and no breaking down your door. It protects your property twice: faster help on the way in, and no forced-entry damage left behind.
Get your Knox Box
Order the approved unit for our district (KnoxBox 3200) directly from the Knox Company:
Order from knoxbox.comAfter it's mounted, contact us — we'll come out, place your keys inside, and secure the box.
Why it matters
Faster response
In an emergency, every second counts. A Knox Box lets responders get inside immediately instead of waiting for a keyholder.
No forced entry
We don't have to break a door or window to reach an alarm or a person in need — saving you hundreds or thousands in damage.
Secure by design
Your keys sit in a UL-listed, tamper-resistant vault. Only the fire department holds the master key that opens it.
Homes & businesses
Ideal for businesses with after-hours alarms, and for residents with medical conditions or mobility concerns.
